This is not a good thing. Putin doesn’t give two poopers about Maduro’s kidnapping, only to keep Venuzuela from selling to the USA. So if Trump tries to occupy Venuzuela, Putin will say he’s being attacked by NATO. Untrue, but he needs an actual EXCUSE to bomb NATO countries, unlike every other country.
Then, we can either back up Trump in an unjust war, dividing our attention from genuine allies, or we can not do so, which Trump will instantly consider a reason to disband NATO.
Europe isn’t ready to lose NATO yet.
