Its St. Barts its like that all the time. Nothing new.
I was superyacht crew for 10 years. They do it every year and have for a long time. Always a good firework show and people that own these yachts are generally in the Caribbean in winter. Makes sense that they all gather in one place and the place that fits the bill and can accommodate is St Barts.
I mean, if you could afford it wouldn’t you winter in the Caribbean?

Every New Year a bunch of rich people stay in St Martin and St Barts, nothing new here. St Martin Airport (SXM) gets too crowded with private and corporate jets and has to turn back arriving aircraft due to ramp space.

Been there before. Crazy expensive in peak season, but you can nab a cheaper BnB in the off-season. The best beaches are public, place is gorgeous. It’s not a cabal island, and most people arrive commercially via Winair from St. Maarten.
