    „Ich habe den Vorschlag von Präsident Selenskyj angenommen, das Büro des Präsidenten der Ukraine zu leiten“, – Budanov. [Zelensky’s Statement in the description]

    Selenskyj: "Ich hatte ein Treffen mit Kyrylo Budanov und bot ihm die Rolle des Leiters des Büros des Präsidenten der Ukraine an. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt muss sich die Ukraine stärker auf Sicherheitsfragen, die Entwicklung der Verteidigungs- und Sicherheitskräfte der Ukraine sowie auf den diplomatischen Weg der Verhandlungen konzentrieren, und das Amt des Präsidenten wird in erster Linie der Erfüllung dieser Aufgaben unseres Staates dienen. Kyrylo verfügt über spezielle Erfahrung in diesen Bereichen und über die nötige Stärke, um Ergebnisse zu liefern. Außerdem habe ich den neuen Leiter des Präsidialamts angewiesen, in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Sekretär des Nationalen Sicherheits- und Verteidigungsrates der Ukraine und anderen relevanten Führungskräften und Institutionen die strategischen Grundlagen der Verteidigung und Entwicklung unseres Staates sowie die darauffolgenden Schritte zu aktualisieren und zur Genehmigung vorzulegen." 02.01.2026

      I do not expect that Zelensky wants a second term. Hopefully the Directorate of Intelligence is in good hands after this shuffle.

      Budanov is probably one of the best strategic mind in Ukraine right now.

      All of his special operations have been audacious, gutsy, imaginative, efficient and innovative.

      He has shown that he can do with a few hundred dollars more damage to Russia than a one million dollar missile can and he has consistently been able to take advantage of the way Russians think.

      Don’t know how to feel about this, budanov is obviously very competent, which is also a good reason for him to stay at his post.

      Good developers aren’t always good project Managers or something along those lines

      Zelensky needs someone who is not involved in current scandals and Budanov is, on top of that, one of the most respected men in Ukraine.

      I’m not familiar with what that position of government does, and tbh I am not familiar much with much of how the Ukraine government is structured, so I’m curious about that and why Budanov is a good person for that job? Would love to be educated on the matter.

      Will never forget Kyrylo comment three years ago….“We’ll stike them deeper and deeper“. When he makes a statement the west should listen.

      Never promote people who do a good job. Give them the tools to do an even better job.
