      Destroying essential basic services that millions of people depend on is an interesting election strategy for the 2026 midterms. Glad to see Republicans thinking outside the making-lives-better box and going for the hurt-everyone vote

      Thus feeding into the Christian Nationalist vision of women enslaved to their homes, kids, husbands, and „cook my meals“! Right Vance? Right Hegseth?

    3. ATLfalcons27 on

      Convenient excuse for them to do so with this Minnesota stuff. Kinda like Charlie Kirk saying Dems are the reason why he doesn’t trust black pilots when in reality he was just either a racist or an opportunist using race to rile up his base.

    4. There are ants in the house. You’ve found them and laid traps. Next step is to poison every piece of food in the house. Dog’s food, cat’s food, kids’ food. All of it. That’ll teach those ants

    5. Time all the the wives stay home to look after the kids and make their man’s meals while the men are driving home from work in their big gas guzzling American made cars…welcome to 1950’s

      Was always the plan. Poor people (read: poc) shouldnt be having babies, but richer people (read:white) should be able to still afford childcare

      Watch the money. This administration is all about redistributing your tax dollars into the pockets of the billionaires and their ilk.

      This was always the plan in Project 2025. They are just using a spurious YouTube video as a catalyst to get it done.

    9. All this on the basis of a single video from a MAGA-influencer. What the fuck? This is literally going to make American families suffer and kids will starve cause some parents have no other options and I don’t get the end goal here – why do all this?

    10. How can you still support this buffoon? Do the right thing this year, make up for 2024.

    11. I heard once the difference between democrats and republicans can be summed up like this regarding welfare.

      If you have 100 people, Republicans will let the 99 people starve on the chance that 1 is committing fraud, while democrats will feed 99 people committing fraud to make sure the 1 person who really needs it, gets it.

      Hyperbolic on the Democrat side but sure accurate for republicans.

    12. GOP: „Screw the children.“
      MAGA Crowd: „Um, literally or metaphorically?“

      GOP: „Yes!“
      MAGA Crowd: „Hell yeah!“

    13. I checked a few other realities and he was impeached over this in all of them. Figures I’m in the one reality where no one seems to care about children.

    14. Defiant-Purchase-188 on

      Interesting – they seem to want folks to have children but at every turn deny them the basic survival needs.

      This is about controlling women. Trump is a career conman. He doesn’t give a shit about fraud.

      „Some people are stealing cookies out of the cafeteria. Therefore we will be freezing all food service operations until everyone who is hungry proves to our satisfaction that they won’t steal any cookies off the cookie shelf.“

      GOP hates abortion but is okay with destroying families that have living kids.

    18. killerkadugen on

      The people that voted for Trump don’t yet understand that he no longer has to give the impression of caring any longer.

      We are just about 1 yr in

    19. This has been the plan all along. They started with Minnesota to try and make Walz look bad. He’s a threat to them in the next presidential election. They are doing the very thing they accused Dems of doing to Trump. They aren’t even being discreet about it.

      Now that they’ve claimed it’s full of fraud they shut it down. It’s the classic republican MO. Defund it then claim it doesn’t work. At some point bring it back just enough to get people to shut up about it and claim to be the saviors for the little they give back.

      I’ve seen this so many times.

      * This
      * Quadrupled healthcare premiums
      * Rising unemployment
      * Unaffordable housing
      * Unaffordable groceries
      * High interest rates
      * High inflation

      So he wants to lose **both** the house *and* the senate in November?

    21. Its almost like this was the plan from the start of this BS magat backed „investigation“

    22. So so wrong and so so sad. Every thing that’s decent is being squashed, torn down and ruined by this president and his administration. I believe in karma. I just hope to witness it in my lifetime.

    23. Basically, republicans are fulfilling their dream of making the federal government so small it could be drowned in a bathtub, but big enough to control the populace through militaristic action.

      Theyre slowly cutting states off from federal help on all fronts. The generational damage is going to monumental when this is all said and done

    24. tinathefatlardgosh on

      Why is anyone surprised that an administration run by a child rapist would continue to hurt children?

    25. findingmike on

      Another attempt to distract from the Epstein files? C’mon Donnie, release the files!

    26. Trump can literally do and get away with whatever the hell he wants, but Biden couldn’t even forgive student loans.

    27. Pal_Saradise_ on

      Americans are tired of fighting for healthcare, childcare, student loan forgiveness, gay rights, women’s rights, better wages, serious immigration reform; they’re tired of fighting a third of the country who doesn’t believe in that and another third of the country that never cared enough to even be involved.

    28. DarthHiccups on

      Every move this admin makes is a new self-sabotage. The mid terms are going to be a nightmare for Republicans. Because now they have to try and get re-elected and defend Trumps indefensible BS policies (like this) to potential voters at the same time. No wonder they’re all retiring or quitting. Cowards and Rats fleeing the sinking ship.

      What’s depressingly impressive is how thoroughly the right has boiled the frog.

      The heroes of the group who hate the „liberal elite“ are two objectively horrible nepo babies.

      Name call and say what you want. It’s straight up impressive and scary how much people can be manipulated especially if you discard your scruples.

    30. I thought the whole RepugnantCon ethos was „Won’t someone please think of the children?!“

      Turns out that they are thinking about the children, just not in a caring for their well-being manner.

    31. Anyone think this is a test case to see how far he can go? Next up freeze Medicare for all to deal with fraud there…

    32. Mucking_Fountain on

      “Sorry I am destroying household and businesses. But you must understand it’s because I will believe anything and am very very racist”.
