Forgive the ignorance, this is the first time I see a picture of a Ukranian combat vehicle using cages like those. I usually call the ones on russian tanks „ork cope cages“. Does that mean that there is a logic behind the wire mesh and all the stuff soldiers put on top of their mobile units?

This tells me they are not using the Caesar at max distance and instead getting close to the combat line with it, like less then 20km instead of 42-50km.
With Caesar you should shoot and go and be safe, even from the 40km russian Lancets.
