Same recycled playbook: demonize a religion, scream “enemy,“ and hope voters don’t notice there’s Zero substance behind the outrage.

    2. Tommy Tuberville is prone to wild exaggeration.
I feel no greater threat than that from Republicans.

Why the fuck would anyone listen to Tommy Tuberville? He can’t figure out how to coach against a zone let alone govern.

Oh Tommy, it’s been the same enemy since 1861 you Confederate half wit.

    5. He is right.

A Russian Manchurian candidate is the Pedophile of the United States

    6. Are we now pretending to be surprised when a Republican officeholder says something racist? It’s who they are, and they graduated from dog whistles years ago.

    7. I hope that, when I win an election to public office and swear on a copy of Rachel Reid’s Heated Rivalry, Tommy Tuberville has a fuckin heart attack.

I look at Tuberville and remember that politics is Hollywood for ugly people

    9. Imagine how dumb and bigoted you need to be to stand out amongst other Republicans as an idiot and a bigot. It’s actually kind of impressive in a way.

if the enemy is inside the gates because someone used a Quran, then the gates were never about freedom to begin with.

has mamdani ever protected or bootlicked for a pedophile? no? so not worse than GOP.

    13. To Tommy Tuberville, putting your hand on a Quran is apparently worse than refusing to put your hand on a Bible.

    14. He’s gotta be the dumbest fucking senator. Alabama football coach to senator. Ok. Whatever. Thanks Alabama.

Now I want to see a debate between Mamdani and Tuberville. It would be hilarious, like watching the Dodgers play a little league team.

    16. Senator Tuberville is from Arkansas. Maybe he should fuck off back to his own state and stop worrying about what a city in another state is doing.

This is none of his fucking business, and his racist, redneck ass would be whining if someone from New York were trying to dictate who should be mayor of [insert largest city in Arkansas, the name of which I cannot even bother to know because the entire state is less significant than New York City].

Red states never want the federal government telling them what to do. Fine. Take your own fucking medicine and leave the blue states alone. Oh, and give New York City back all the money its people and businesses pays in federal taxes so states like *Arkansas* will stop leeching off their success. It’s just *wild* to me that the *takers* in this country think they can dictate terms to the *makers*.

    17. Many sitting republicans and Christian nationalists, Tuberville among them, have a well documented history of an insurrection, and providing cover for said insurrection, against the United States on January 6th and defecating inside on the floors of congress. So……..?

I’ll take Mamdani every day of the week and twice on Sunday instead of Tuberville.

That guy who is getting a “free” plane from Qatar and let them built a military base on US soil? Or the guy who tells American soldiers to roll out a red carpet for a war criminal? Or the guy who is doing everything to destroy the country from the inside?

    19. We can all sit here and clown on Coach Tommy all we like, but the fact is that there is an enormous population of Americans who believe that an elected official must be sworn in on the bible. They do not understand that the Bible is not a fundamental part of the oath of office for any elected official in the united states. In fact, it’s not mentioned at all in any oath of office (edit: at least at the federal level)

And I would wager that this belief, while it is certainly going to be more prevalent among conservatives, is not in any way limited to them. There are going to be a huge number of Democrats who believe that as well.

Senator Tuberville is, in fact, representing his constituents in this regard.

    20. Hey gets paid per comment. Just keep calling him a crisis actor. He get paid. Every newspaper should preface „crisis actor, Senator FLobablaba..“

I guess this cock sneeze forgot freedom of religion was an American principle. His mother should’ve swallowed.

    22. They still think they are protecting America for white Christians, not protecting America for its citizens.

That is the rot at the core of American conservatism today, revealed by Trump but not only by him.

All religious texts should be forbidden from swearing in ceremonies.
