It was headed to Israel which does not apply sanctions to Russian steel like EU+UK does.

There, I’ve done the job for Finnish customs. They won’t have to consult international trade lawyers that charge €1,000/hr.

The fact that the ship was carrying sanctioned Russian steel makes this more than an isolated maritime incident. It raises questions about how sanctions are being evaded and who is turning a blind eye along the supply chain. Enforcement only works if violations are treated seriously and consistently across all member states.

  3. but they werent ?? eu sanctions do not apply outside of the EU

example russia sold X to a middle east country how are EU sanctions invloved ?
