I don’t get what all the hoo-ha is about this, like how many times has Putin tried to kill Zelensky now, like dozens…both teams shouldn’t be allowed to play to different rules and standards.
Russia I think sometimes can’t believe it’s luck that someone like trump ended up in the white house….twice! While they wanted him in his second term during the initial invasion (no consequences for republicans for selling out ukraine politically, no western support to save ukraine), they seem to have been caught off guard by the biden presidency and it was too late to change their timeline.
However, they also realize that Trump, as well as being very corrupt… is also quite simple and stupid. Russia needs an excuse to not accept the trump branded peace plan while not making trump feel like it’s russias fault he’s not getting his nobel for ending the war.
It’s insane; but really is that simple
