    1. Familiarity breeds contempt

As a species I think we focus on the negative a lot of the time.

Ireland is a beautiful country. The older I get the more I appreciate it and the less likely I feel I am to move away, but I’m also more cynical towards our cities. Definitely conflicted, but the physical country is amongst the best in the world.

      Thank you for sharing!

I just want the native woodlands back instead of decimated rolling hillsides. Its hard to appreciate such landscapes when you know what it used to be, and what it could be with good policy.

    4. It’s not my turn of phrase, but I’ve often loved to call Ireland a really „human sized country“; small but not so titchy it feels parochial, and not so large it loses a closeness or sense of community.

It’s fairly decent alright but a portion of the country want it all to themselves, they want all the best houses all the best holiday homes and they price ordinary good Irish people out of really living in their own country

Do you have a website? I love the pictures. I’d love to buy prints if you have them!

I visited in March and I’m honestly in love with your country. I know a lot of tourists probably say this but of all the countries I’ve been to, no other place stole my heart the way Ireland did.

No appreciated?? To we not have a whole flood of Tourists landing on this Island every year because we (or Bord Failte) sell the beauty of this Island to the whole world? I mean we’re not exactly some unknown little hidden Gem.
