      that „may“ will forever remain there as long as trump is president, even if those guarantees state „the US will 100% do xyz“. he’ll look for excuses for why it doesn’t apply in that case

      Why doesn’t Tusk just say that POLAND is backing Ukraine with security guarantees. They have the most to lose if Ukraine falls.

      It’ll need to be done through Congress. Anything from Trump isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.

      There is no deal with the US that has any guarantees. Trump has broken congress made agreements with every country the US does business with. The days of trust are over. Yet, the US will expect to take 50% of Ukraines mineral wealth no matter what they do. It is as it always has been. The US hasnt lead by example in over a decade. Its „do this, or else“ diplomacy, and country thats run more like a mafia. Land of the free, beacon of hope and all the other crap they tell themselves are lies sold to the people to justify it. Trumps „the world has been taken advantage of us“ is a lie that has gone to far. Hopefully it shines a light on the rest of the bullsh$t. Trump has an aircraft carrier group threatening Venezuela because of private business and oil rights. Somehow its being successfully sold as another war on drugs. Its just sick and this crap needs to stop. The UN needs to call Trump and the USA out on their B.S. Enough is enough.

      That “may” does a lot of work here.

      Read it as “as long as doing so doesn’t put us in direct conflict with Russia”.

      Which is another way of saying US troops won’t be involved.
