Und wissen Sie was? Teflonrückstände/PFAS/PFOS sind überall in jedem Fluss und in jedem See. Du trinkst es jeden Tag.

I don’t think you can even buy these anymore.  We’ve known for like 20 years they’re toxic

Nobody gives a shit but then everyone wonders why cancer rates are skyrocketing and fertility rates are crashing

    3. They’re not very upfront about not heating teflon pans barely to medium that’s for sure but stainless pans are awesome! Once heated to where water dances on the surface, as long as it’s not waaay too hot it’s practically nonstick

We haven’t used Teflon in 5+ years. We use a lot of enameled cast iron or stainless steel from Japan, thanks to my nickel allergy I can’t use the regular stuff. We also use only glass food storage. No aluminum foil unless it’s not touching the food and never heated up. People on Reddit always cry when I mention they should be eating organic and growing a garden but carry on how we’re living and consuming, it is actually killing us.

My wife left a nonstick pan in the oven to store it without my knowledge. I preheated the oven to 500° to cook pizza. After a few minutes I got super dizzy and the house smelled terrible. I turned it off and realized what happened. I threw away every nonstick pan after that. I still feel like I have brain damage from it.

I have 3-4lb macaws and a cockatoo and almost everything that can kill them is HORRIBLE for us. And it’s not that their lungs are different for sake, it’s just that they breathe in more air with every breath than we do.

We don’t take 100% new oxygen in with every breath where they do and they have air sacs, multiple air sacs think maybe six of them. So they just get more oxygen at once and that’s why the whole canary in the coal mine is a thing.

I always always say I would never have that around a 5 pound baby if it could kill my 3 to 4 pound bird.

And it’s not just nonstick pans, it’s Febreze and those horrible Bath and body Works air fresheners and basically all aerosol sprays. Most cleaning supplies.

But by mostly cleaning with vinegar and rarely bleach (like bathrooms and sinks mostly) and having nothing else in our house that’s scented, I really think we probably will save a couple extra years of life for sure.

      Google „Dupont teflon cigarettes“.

In the 60s their scientists laced cigarettes with teflon and gave them to emplyees to test the effects of inhalation.

„This was part of internal research into „polymer fume fever,“ a flu-like illness experienced by some workers exposed to heated Teflon in the workplace.“
