Theyve only just recently been given the green light from society to write stories and characters based on themselves. I just want good movies/shows. Any forced sexuality, race, or culture input to be “fair and/or representative” of what’s out there ruins the flow imo. I don’t care what’s included in the movie/show, I just want good movies/shows that are cohesive and not forced in dialogue, story, and visuals.
I think some movies/shows do it well, I think some are forced and take away from the magic (like The Last of Us line in the post).
I do feel like a lot of movies/shows almost HAVE to include things like homosexuality now and days. It is everywhere. I don’t care but it can feel oddly highlighted which can be distracting. People in real life are NOT only their sexuality, race, etc..
