Yeah, I get why people are asking that. If they’re not being open about what went wrong last time, it’s hard to believe they’ve actually fixed anything for this time around. Feels like they’re hoping we’ll just forget
No matter what the autopsy says, it’s very clear to me from the partys behavior, that they have learned absolutely nothing from 2024.
maybe the report points to deeper issues like ignoring working class voices across race and geography. transparency matters but so does honest self reflection.
Israel and Palestine, Ukraine, cowtowing to trump, ignoring the left side to cater to the „moderate right“ they dont get.

The authors‘ own analysis is accurate and they’ve placed the main reason in the top spot – Harris failed to connect with voters. She polled very well upon the initial announcement of her replacement for Biden, which suggests voters liked the „idea“ of Kamala Harris. But then she handled the relatively brief campaign before the election poorly. She was unable to articulate a clear vision of her policy objectives, how they would differ from Biden’s, how she’d improve affordability, the housing crisis, and improve the life of the middle class and working person beyond gimmicks like „no tax on tips.“ After a few high profile missions to Latin America early on in Biden’s term, she seemed to become a cipher in his administration for years. Then, thrust on the scene, she revealed what an empty vessel she really was and people turned away. All the while, Trump was promising to „fix“ everything and restore a „golden age.“ Of course, it was all lies, but represented hope in the face of the perceived certainty that nothing would change under Harris. She basically articulated the „stay the course“ option that sank Herbert Walker Bush’s campaign.
Because they have no idea why the corporate sponsored status quo isn’t popular. The DNC has zero interest in anything their aipac and corporate donors don’t approve of. The only reason people hold their noses and vote D is the alternative is mask off fascism. Except people are starting to realize there is no left or even center party and the democrats are a political arm of the billionaires.
All you have to do is read the comments here and you’ll know exactly why they didn’t release the report.
No matter what it says, people want to shit on democrats and will find any excuse to do so.

It’s hard to believe that it’s less of a strategic issue than it is about simply protecting the reputations of party insiders. Too bad because they may potentially blow the whole swing away from MAGA. They are failing to recognize that they need to change the Democratic Party to attract voters instead of simply hoping disillusioned Trump voters will come their way. They may simply stay home and,if they do, the Dems with their 30% approval, cannot win.
Democratic voters have been trying to move past Bush II ever since Obama’s resounding 08 victory which was supposed to be mandate for change.
Instead we’ve had 20 years of democrats, many of them in office for that entirety, running apologia for Middle Eastern conflicts and continued giveaways for oil companies, and that’s while democrats are in office. Couple that with Trump just auctioning off our public resources and massive cuts for the wealthy and it’s no wonder voters want change, theyve been screaming for it for 20 years!
You see this phenomenon every time a young progressive breaks out. Obama, AOC, and now Mamdani. How progressive Obama actually was is beside the point, he was happy to let people believe that about him. Without the suffocating political environment rewarding corporatists, the Democratic Party would be in a much different place. We should be in Sanders second term right now.
Watch them come out with a Newsom / Clinton ticket or some stupid shit that announces that they haven’t learned anything and can’t wait to give Republicans four more years.

The dead don’t autopsy themselves. They don’t want to discover/reveal they are sellouts to corporate lobbyists, tech bros and billionaires, too. Who will autopsy the U.S. and examine why we only have two broken political parties?
Kamala was not tested in a primary -or even at a real convention vote. If she was, it wouldn’t have been the same “blue no matter who” scenario.
Kamala wouldn’t discuss how her policies would be different from Biden. Geopolitics, Finance, etc… many policies that were extremely unpopular.
This was the third go around where a candidate was chosen for the people to avoid the possibility that a people’s candidate might emerge.
Because, ultimately, losing the 2024 election wasn’t a bad thing for most of their donors.
Now… if a Progressive got elected, you would see them scrambling in their offices, calling in deals from across the aisle and creating the strongest coalition you’ve ever seen.
Dems are going to win in 2026 and use it as an excuse to still not take any learnings away from losses like 2024. That being said, I still have heavy suspicions that 2024 was tampered with by the likes of Elon, but not willing to be a crazy election denier so let’s just get on with it.
They don’t want to. That’s the point.
We lost because we live in a racist and misogynist society (not to mention homophobic) filled with undereducated and ethnocentric people that no longer value civil discourse and lack critical thinking skills.

Why do we need to see their report when we already know why?
The autopsy report likely indicates the election system is compromised, and they don’t want to sound like Trump did in 2020 and 2021. The well of honest discourse about the health of our democracy is full of toxic sludge, trying to even start that conversation is nearly impossible.
Because the news is horrendous right now for the Republicans. The DNC is not interested in changing the subject away from the economy, decay of our rights, murdering fishermen – war crimes, mental decay of the current president, Epstein files, etc.
While Americans are watching those headlines nobody is begging for a detailed analytical report on why they lost the election. Not everyone is a political junky.
People will say it’s for a lot of reasons but the bottom line is they lost for two reasons- misogyny and racism and because, while Republicans fall in line, Democrats need to fall in love with their candidate.
These are not solvable issues for a long time to come. Making it public is going to make it awkward when the Democrats keep picking white middle aged candidates.
Usually they only hide things when it makes the conservative part of the party that is beholden to billionaires look bad and progressives look good, so, probably that.

It’s a strategic decision. Dems finally have a fair bit of momentum rn and don’t want to sully it especially less than a year before the midterms.
Maybe they don’t want to share strategic information that the current government may use against them.

Republicans didn’t release their most recent autopsy report after 2022, then they won control of the House, Senate, and the Presidency the following cycle.
Releasing that info to the public isn’t as important as people think.

Maybe in the fine details there are small changes that can swing a few more votes.
But as a whole, the reason they lost is cause the the USA is completely fucked.
No candidate they could have presented would have won. A more progressive one would have only made more racist boomers and contrarian gen Z boys jion the maga cult.
The voting public is polluted with too many narcissistic, racist, brainrotted, shock-humor addicts for reasonable people to overcome.
The only real thing to learn from an „autopsy report“ is that the only thing that will wake up americans to their stupidity is to let them fuck up their own country and wallow in the consequences for awhile.
Because the answer is simple and obvious: Its the economy, stupid. Literally EVERY incumbent party in 2024, liberal or leftist or conservative or far-right, got taken behind the garden shed due to the inflationary aftereffects from the pandemic. The US was no different, even though the US had weathered the scourge of inflation better than any country, with full enployment, rising wages, and falling inflation, the median voter thought „The economy feels bad, better vote for Trump!“
And if you look at the data, the Democrats did better than essentially every other incumbent party in 2024. Sometimes it really is just timing

I wonder how much money total has been spent to show no evidence that he lost in 2020.
All they’d need to do is investigate swing states.
Why has everyone forgotten about all misinformation that was being pumped out by foreign agents and the suspicious vote counts? I knew Trump won before the election because variations of ‚who’s running for president‘ and ‚did Biden drop out‘ were a top Google searches the day before the election.
The only autopsy that should be done is whether the election was legitimately lost.
1) Trump and Musk openly talked about „knowing about voting computers“ – that statement alone should raise red flags
2) why would you expect a lifelong cheater and laughably sore loser to play by the rules
3) Republicans have been well known to accuse others of things they are guilty of, why would it be a complete impossibility for it to be the case in the 2024 election also, after their attempt on J6 and their rhetoric on the 2020 election? Never forget how many people in the lower ranks of the GOP were fully on board the Trump train of „stolen election“, why would anyone trust they weren’t up to shenanigans in 2024? They were/are complicit.

Let’s be honest. An autopsy report for why they lost is pretty meaningless.
The GQP had one, followed none of it, and still won.
Anything can happen between now and 2028 that may make any report useless.

It’s simple. There are policy positions Dems need to take to get money and positions they need to take to win elections and the report makes it clear those positions are aligned at all.
