The claim about mines is misleading.
It is not true that the Baltic states and Finland are currently mining, or preparing to mine, their borders in peacetime.
It is true that we have withdrawn from the Ottawa Convention, but this is a legal and contingency step, not a decision to deploy mines now. There has been no political decision to lay minefields along the borders in peacetime.
The missing context is that mines would only be deployed if a war were imminent or already underway. Current actions are about restoring legal options and planning for extreme scenarios, not about active border mining today.

The long game is perpetual hybridwarfare. All wars are not about the war itself, but to get the opposing side to be conquered to your needs, aka clauswitz.
Nato with or without US is about cobtrolling the politics in your favour. Russia has a dream lf cobtrolling Europe geopolitcally vis a vis thst US have done.
Control the opoosition and eastern Europe is on its knees, hence the rightwing politics success in eastern blocks.
US to be so futile in kts response is more frightening. The liberal world order ended yesterdsy, UN is noe obsoluete. Ehsts next is not Strong Powers but Strong Men Politics. I think coming eorld order will be delighted in theor new rule.

You dont need to prepare for an invasion or worry about Russia ever again if you just give Ukraine all the missiles, drones and air defense it needs to eliminate Russia once and for all. They almost have achieved that already! Russias tanks are gone. They are fielding ponys on the front line. Ukraine doesn’t need much more to finish this nasty business and save all of Europe from decades of terror.
Finland has been ready for Russian agression since stone age. And we’ve had to fight several wars with those murderers. Now we are more ready than ever. Since WW2, all bridges have preplanned points for detonation. All kind of other plans will make sure that Russian losses will be sky high. Only worry are the first few days heavy strikes. Then it will be Russians turn..
