It would be nice if christians calling out christians was the norn.
They have a lot of mechanisms to instantly dismiss members of their faith as not christian and not counting them towards the hate they spread.

I’m an agnostic, former atheist. I grew up Catholic ( against my will). I understand the hate toward religion in general, but there are so many of them that truly do have good intentions, and are good people.
It’s the bad ones that give them such a bad name. Jesus would accept everyone, that’s common knowledge. Whether it’s true or not, idk. What I do know is that all bibles are stories written by man. However, the intentions of many religious people are good. And they have the right to believe in whatever they want, just like I have the right to not believe in organized religion.
It blows my mind that the crazy religious freaks who think that gay people, trans, people from other religions/with different beliefs etc, need to be saved and or are sick or crazy. They are brainwashed and involved in a cult.

This is actually kind of wild if you think about it, a group of Christians showing up to say „no, religion shouldn’t be used to justify beating up trans people.“ Like a little Jesus plot twist nobody saw coming. It doesn’t erase everything else, but it’s a hell of an angle.

I’ve met ONE Catholic priest who was worthy of the job. I might still be going to church if he were local. He set up a food pantry, hot meal service, after-school tutoring program, and housed head start in one of the buildings. Not ONCE did he preach at anyone receiving services. He’d host midnight pancakes for us during finals week and prayed in a corner, inviting whoever chose to join him. Nobody was turned away, and nobody was forced into his beliefs. He did it all in an economically disadvantaged town, too, where he really could have used the money garnered from a tithing/recruitment campaign.
As a trans woman, thanks. I found out recently Jesus called himself Morningstar, which was so cool because that’s Lucifer. Wow! Jesus and Lucifer are really the same.
And then you account for Morningstar also being Venus, which was also Inanna, and worshipped by Egyptians too under other names. So Jesus really is trans and demonic AF deep down. Just an entity that loved you enough to show you something you weren’t afraid of. That’s not so bad. Praise Sophia.
