I don’t particularly love her comedy but damn she got a rough hand in life. Lung cancer despite not smoking, her ex-husband stealing from her and apparently her brother.
It says her brother was also a crack addict, and homeless so this is surprising but it’s also not surprising.

I literally today I told my mom my brother molested me as a child, she changed the subject in less than 10 words. I was so mad I got a bloody nose, I thought my head would explode. Not shocked by her reaction.
She was mentioned yesterday in one of the threads about Nicki Minaj going MAGA. Nicki’s brother was arrested and imprisoned for repeatedly raping his 11 year old stepdaughter. Nicki paid his bail and declared her support for him publicly. (And yes, she’s also married to a rapist whom she defends regularly).
Kathy, however, turned her brother in because she couldn’t live with letting those children be hurt.
In a world that all too often hurts children, be a Kathy rather than a Nicki.
I cannot recommend Official Book Club Selection enough. It’s a genuinely compelling autobiography that’s also insanely laugh out loud funny. But when she talks about the brother you can definitely feel how much it affected her.
Damn had no clue about her difficulties. Feel bad about her being ridiculed by society for the Trump thing.
