Guys, is this really serious to worry about given the recent global precedents.
Is there any war game simulation of US and China direct confrontation in the event of Taiwan being invaded ? And what would be the outcome ?
The bigger question is , is the US really ready to confront China head on ? Or will it allow China to takeover taiwan and just restrict itself to supplying weapons and monetary aid and diplomatic support to Taiwan.
China does this every few months. The real drill is seeing who panics first.

It is becoming increasingly clear that China intends to take Taiwan by force.
The United States deliberate ambiguity about whether it would defend Taiwan leaves them an easy escape route to abandon their longtime ally when China makes its move.
Such a retreat would also likely embolden Russia to attack Ukraine again if a peace deal is reached.

China likes to project strength, but I doubt it’s actually serious about invading Taiwan, especially if it’s not 100% sure that the US would stay out. China is extremely risk-averse and fears failure above all else. While Taiwan should absolutely be prepared for a potential invasion, I don’t see China taking that step unless it’s certain that no one would come to Taiwan’s aid.
