Brought to you by the same people that couldn’t work out who a dead man was that had multiple forms of ID and a CV on him

I recently listened to the Lines of Enquiry podcast. Unbelievably poor behaviour on the part of the Guards.

You have one job lads to catch the bad guys.
There’s something fierce wrong with AGS in the border counties.
>There were 93 separate injuries on her body, and the death was initially treated as suicide and then an accidental fall.
>A post-mortem examination was carried out on Ms Lynch on March 18 and her death was determined to be due to drowning. A review by a second forensic pathologist determined that Ms Lynch died as a result of hypothermia.
>It [a private report by a US medical examiner] has also been concluded that she did not drown and did not succumb to the effects of hypothermia.
It’s easy to be a hurler on the ditch but this sounds like a nightmare of an investigation.
I have no idea what to think about this case. The guards incredibly stuffed it up. It indeed sounds like foul play when you read and listen to Kelly’s family’s account, but also having read the statement put out by the boyfriend’s family, it could also be plausible. I feel for both families honestly. May she RIP 🙏
I watched a bbc spotlight show on this ‘the body below the bridge’ it did not put the investigation in good light at all. The poor family were begging them to listen and just investigate. They made their mind up that it was reckless misadventure or suicide and didn’t protect the scene or investigate at all, in fact they seemed to ignore the evidence on her body and clothes and the behaviour of her boyfriend in response to the investigation
