>As B.C. Conservative MP Aaron Gunn wrote in a Dec. 15 Facebook post, “by all accounts, if the federal NDP wasn’t a complete dumpster fire, Conservatives would have secured a majority government either last spring or if a new election were held today.”
Gunn went on to ask „How much you wanna make a bet I can throw a football over them mountains?“, a statement of equal use and credibility.
The NDP aren’t just seeing fewer votes because they’re in disarray right now – though they certainly are – but also because a considerable portion of their voter base are very much willing to vote ABC.

Another poll showing that the CPC as a party is liked and the leader isnt.
Same with the Liberals as a party are not liked and the leader is.

Carney’s conservative policies took the wind out of their sails. He embraced some of the main conservative talking points and made them his own, but with a fundamental difference. He left the culture war, anti-woke insanity behind, for the most part at least. So you get the fiscal conservative style policies from a guy who has made finance his life career without the rhetoric. He does things quietly, methodically and he is way beyond what Pierre is capable of thinking. Pierre has one liners with a „trust me“ whereas Carney just delivers. I am not a fan of Carney, but I will take him over Pierre every time. The NDP has long since lost its way and in the face of a hostile neighbor and world, we need a steady hand right now. Dismantling our society is not the way to go as Pierre wants to do.

Just had an election, polling doesnt matter.
A couple more floor crosses will give the Liberals another majority, and seal 14-15 years of LPC dominance and governance.
The only way this could be more humiliating for conservatives is if they manage to lose again in the next election. Conservatives between the party donations and media partners have to be close to wasting a billion dollars in funding since their last election win. Totally humiliating and a total failure.

Why don’t they go back another 4 months in polling? How are tied polls now at all comparable to a 25 point lead just a year ago. Their chance of winning the election was so high that the only way they could lose is through self sabatoge, which nobody considered possible.
