Shouldn’t it as it’s a whole continent and Russia is a country….
Actually that made me realize how big Russia is in proportion to other things. Of course the greed and waste of going to war to want more instead of developing what you got is quite staggering too

The reason these comparisons get made is precisely because on the Mercator map projection (which the average person would have internalised the most) Africa looks smaller than or at least equal to Russia

Europe is 10.1 million km². Slightly bigger than the US (9.8 million km²).
Both still fit easily in Africa together btw.
