Ein hochkarätiger MAGA-Aktivist hat das behauptet Präsident Donald TrumpDas Leben von ’s wird durch fahrlässiges Verhalten in seinem Umfeld gefährdet Details zum Geheimdienst.
Das sagte Tom Fitton, der Leiter der konservativen Überwachungsorganisation Judicial Watch Die New York Post dass ihm eine Episode besonders ins Auge sticht schwerwiegender Verstoß der Sicherheit.
Am 9. September wurde Trumps Abendessen in einem Restaurant in Washington, D.C. von Code-Pink-Demonstranten gestört, denen es gelang, hineinzukommen innerhalb weniger Meter des Präsidenten und anderer Kabinettsbeamter, wie Videoaufnahmen zeigen. Die Demonstranten, die „Freies Palästina“ riefen und Trump „Hitler“ nannten, wurden schließlich hinausgeführt.
„Diesen Leuten wurde erlaubt, mit Messern und wer weiß, was ihnen sonst noch im Restaurant zur Verfügung stand, auf Armeslänge an den amtierenden Präsidenten heranzukommen“, sagte Fitton der Zeitung.
„Ich mache mir einfach große Sorgen um die Sicherheit des Präsidenten“, fügte Fitton hinzu. „Er wäre angeblich unter dem Schutz des Secret Service zweimal beinahe getötet worden, und dann haben sie ihn in einen potenziell gefährlichen Hinterhalt geführt“, sagte er über den Vorfall im September, der sich bei Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab ereignete.
Die Demonstranten waren nicht gewalttätig, Fitton äußerte jedoch Bedenken, dass es ihnen offenbar gelungen sei, genaue Informationen über Trumps privates Abendessen zu erhalten.
Fitton, dessen Überwachungsgruppe über 2 Millionen Follower in den sozialen Medien hat, ist nicht der Einzige, der den Secret Service wegen Trumps Auseinandersetzung mit Code Pink kritisiert.
Christ Swecker, ein ehemaliger stellvertretender Direktor des FBI, beschrieb den Vorfall als „eine unglaubliche Sicherheitslücke“.
