This is something even AI can’t really help with. Childcare needs human touch, empathy, and care. Ganbatte.

Pay is shit, parents are increasingly shittier, conditions are often borderline shit.
Why bother though hey… its not like the country is trying very hard to up the supply of the product these poor staff have to take responsibility for.

Tough job, low pay. No wonder there are not enough workers.

I mean … they „just have to raise the wages“, right? Then you won’t need any foreigners? It’s *that* easy!

>Ms. Yanai, who has been in the profession for six years and used to work at a science museum, says that seeing children grow — like putting on their clothes by themselves or going to the toilet independently — is very rewarding and makes the job fulfilling.
Well, this may be very true, Ms. Yanai, but not a single one of us can pay for our way of life with sunshine, rainbows, and good vibes.
Pay for this essential job is notoriously low. Hours are long, hard, and involve sometimes dealing with monstrous children and their parents.

Anyone worked and an eikaiwa?
On my own handling up to 8 kids, The kids never behave, the parents complain about the teacher. I get it from my boss. No one is happy.
Oh wait. The company is clawing more than 10,000 yen for these lessons and I’m getting a 800 yen bonus to my 1,000 yen pay?
Was nothing more than a scummy clown who wiped windows in a free slot, danced around, waving my hands, trying to get kids engaged with no effect.
Drove me to insanity.

Fun fact! Childcare workers can be personally sued by disgruntled parents, without any accountability or protection from their workplace. Yet another reason to work in this low paid and draining profession.

This is a problem everywhere in the world. Wages for workers in the education sector are pathetically low for the amount of responsibility they have.
