Don’t get my hopes up
The only way Americans will rid themselves of the Republican traitors is to ensure there is large-scale and intense pre-polling, focussing on marginal seats. It’s much harder to rigg an electorate whose pre-polling shows overwhelming swings.
A great many of them should be dragged off to prison. However, I’m prepared to be disappointed in the American people once again.

If I were the Right, I would put out so many articles and sound bites saying there’s no way to stop the Left from taking over „everything“ in 2026. Two things will happen: the Right will vote, and the Left will think it’s in the bag so „they“ don’t have to vote because everyone else is voting.

Trump has overextended his presidential authority far too many times. Winning the midterms could allow Dems to exert some control over him.

The party in the White House typically has a bad year in midterms even when they’re doing well. It was practically a miracle when Dems didn’t lose any seats while Biden was in office. Now Republicans have a historically unpopular president in office surrounded by scandal and practically every seat in the House is up for reelection.
Here’s to hoping for a bloodbath.

We, proverbial we, were saying the same thing about Donald Trump 11 months ahead of elections. It’s not a done deal until you cast your ballot.
You would think that Trump and Republicans in Congress would change course when it appears most Americans are against their policies, but they just continue their nonsense, and it’s likely Democrats will win big in 2026, and possibly (hopefully) Trump will be impeached.
I won’t believe it till I see it.
Please everybody note that there are no federal elections in mid-term years. Mid-terms are handled exclusively by the states.
This makes it difficult for the GOP to ratfuck them–they would have to ratfuck 50 elections + the territories, most of which are blue.
Federal elections such as 2028 are different, they have a single point of failure. Federal elections are conducted by the states but they are *collated* by a third party and it is not a government agency. It is Associated Press.
This one news agency has tabluated national vote totals since before the Civil War, and the Federal government accepts their word.
You can see where this is going. The GOP doesn’t have to ratfuck 50 states‘ worth of Presidential votes. They only have to ratfuck AP. And I’m betting they noticed this before I did.
We need to not be complacent and assume that this will happen. We need to get every person who didn’t bother to vote or voted for Trump as a protest, to show up and vote Democrat. Our democracy is literally at stake and if we don’t win both houses we can be sure that the Heritage Foundation will continue to turn the country into a fascist theocracy.

The GOP’s biggest fear is once they lose control of Congress they may never get it back. Trump has lead the GOP down a slope and clearly demonstrated what the GOP will do when they have unchecked power.
