US is never the same colour as its neighbours on these maps. They’re always min-maxxing their first and third world stats. Broadly, on economic maps they’re usually a shade or two darker than Canada and Mexico and on social maps (like life expentency or human rights stuff) they’re usually a shade between Mexico and Canada, or sometimes paler than both.
