      At this point, just announce the Gundam program officially. We all know where the money is going. The RX-78-2 isn’t going to build itself.

      I hope Japan can gradually develop two carrier strike groups to help maintain stability and peace in the Indo-Pacific.

      I am firmly opposed to militarism. However, it should also be acknowledged that the Japanese navy has a significant and complex history. Even under severe industrial constraints at the time, it managed to inflict serious damage on the U.S. Navy in the early stages of the Pacific War.

      Remembering ships like Shinano and Akagi should be about historical reflection and lessons learned — not glorification of war.

      Hard to call it “record” spending when it’s really just Japan admitting the neighborhood has gotten a lot more dangerous.

      Japan needs to develop nuclear powered submarine fleet capable of launching nuclear warheads.
