I mean right now i assume they go back to a parking lot at a certain percentage and a person plugs them in. But not far off a robot or automated system would plug them in if its not happening already. After that their will be lanes or ways to charge while driving. Sweden already has some of these e-roads they are trying with India following suit.

Instead of making a self-driving car with a battery, why not just attach a power source directly to the car? Better still, reduce the rolling resistance by replacing the tires with metal wheels. Then they could get rid of all those sensors by putting the cars on a dedicated road that has metal rails. Maybe call it a „rail road“.

Wireless charging exists. But once everyone is out of a job, it won’t cost that much to get a dude to walk around the parking lot and plug/unplug all the EVs.

Damn. I was hoping to get one of those high paying jobs feeding electricity to robots.

Definitely doable. [NIO vehicles can do battery swaps in 5 minutes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQMeKndHc8Q) via robots. Should be feasible to make those stations to just swap robotaxis. And since the downtime is minimal, you wouldn’t have a fleet sitting around doing nothing waiting to be charged back up.

Who will recharge the robots that recharge the robotaxis?

Anyone remember that prototype snake-like anal probe… err… car charger that Tesla showed off a few years ago? I wonder what happened to that.

And once all the jobs are gone and nobody has any money, will the robots also pay for the cars?

Probably can take the robots back and forth to their factory jobs.

Whoever is recharging the ones already operating?
