DMZs with „observers“… i.e. foreign peacekeepers. That would gurantee Ukrainian independence.

DMZs are just giving land to Putin he doesn’t have to fight for. No troops is just a welcome mat to him.

“Zelensky explained that if Ukraine was prepared to pull its heavy forces back by five, 10 or 40km in the 25% of Donetsk it still held to create an economic zone, making it virtually demilitarised, then Russia would have to do the same „accordingly by five, 10, or 40km“.”
I’m wondering if the Ukraine gives in to this due to American pressure (eg threatening to cut the support), because they know they can accept anything as Russia won’t accept a peace deal anyway or because their military situation is indeed so precarious?

I’d say Ukraine should push for border DMZ that match North and South Korea if it is forced to accept „peace“ with Russia.

I dont think Russians would accept a DMZ with international observers and without any Russians there

It is obvious that the occupier wants capitulation and will not sign anything, and even if he does sign, he will not comply. All these “peace” talks are a circus for one… red-haired clown

You have to get the Russians to accept it m8. Theyre the invaders and they hold the keys.
