SS: His last cellmate before he „took his own life“ was the infamous ex NY cop who kidnapped and murdered four men. Nicholas Tartaglione shared a prison cell with Epstein at the federal Metropolitan Correctional Center in NYC but apparently they moved him to somewhere else right before Epstein died.
You have no celly on suicide watch, you wear the turtle suit and are in a dry cell. Inmate watches/takes notes from the other side of the door. Guard comes by on rounds but doesnt normally directly observe the entire time. I was at MDC not MCC tho

Not using military time is a little odd, never have I put AM or PM in any log, it’s always 0430, 0445, etc.

When youre doing suicide obs on an inmate you dont do 15mins to the minute…. by the time you walk to the cell it could be 3:07am or 4:18am. Also if a superior saw perfect 15minute intervals and something went wrong (ie prisoner self harmed and you had to call a code) you would be questioned and raked over the coals because its so damn fake (everyone working in prison knows this). Its also best practice to stagger yoir obs within the 15 minute timeframe to give inmates less of an opourtunity to plan self harm acts.
Also I dont know how thid particular correctional facility runs but it seems illogical that youd place a prisoner with such a severe risk of self harm in a muirhead cell/management cell with another inmate. People actively planning suicide are a risk to others as well as themselves and I dont 5hink a prisoner moving around a cell, standing on the bed, talking thru the trap to COs at 4am would be safe from a pissed off celly whos trying to sleep.
Also most prisons work on 24hr millitary time 0700hrs 1823hrs ect
I worked in a jail and 2:30 am is a weird one. You report facts, like he was sitting down staring at the floor. How the hell did the guard know what he was thinking.
