    1. That exec sure made his wage! Making sure others work so he doesn’t need to. It’s a good thing the double down on RTO that guy almost had to do work.

It’s super important we keep focused on RTO or those execs may not get a bonus for distracting us with a proven non-issue.

Let’s all work together to maintain the modern day serfdom.

Literally never seen turnover like I’ve seen with the Dell reps assigned to my company, we’ve had like 6 in the past 2 years. I’m honestly sorta glad it’s something on their end and not that we were particularly awful to work with lol

    3. Oligarchs not getting enough money and work from the peasants. Pass me a tissue.

The whole point of being in sales is being able to work short hours when you’re good at your job

If I’m hitting my numbers you can fuck right off about what hours I’m in the office

    5. Oh no, workers leaving early? You mean like all management does. If work is getting done, who give a shit? Same for working from home.

    6. Sales is a performance based role typically with a quota. Why would you care how many hours they’re in the office? They either hit the numbers or they don’t.

    7. I thought sales success was based on, you know, sales. If you’ve exceeded your sales goal, then who cares if you leave early?

    8. >Maintaining a strong in-office presence is essential for fostering collaboration, communication, and productivity,

Nothing increases productivity like cubicles, fluorescent lights, miserable faces every morning, and hearing people complain every break, or every time you go get a cup of extra shitty coffee diluted from a coffee syrup bag.

In sales, there’s no „collaboration,“ it’s every man for himself. I don’t need to be in the office to get my POs cut, my orders shipped, or my tickets handled.

Laid off in August 2024. Went from a great company to work at to being run by lunatics in the space of 2-4 months. The change was abrupt and a lot of people suffered because of it. Fuck this company, hope they suffer on the way to Irrelevance.

    10. My company had to relocate thanks to the landlord selling our building to Amazon during the pandemic. They moved us to a new location just down the road. But they purposely rented a place with less than enough desk space. So they introduced “hoteling” where you shore up and pick a random desk.

So when RTO four days a week came along, some of us can’t find desks and sit in the breakroom. And with no permanent desks, we all had to buy and carry backpacks with our laptops and other possessions.

I can’t stand the recirculated dead air in the office, so I carry a fan. I dislike sharing keyboard and mice with the slobs here, so I bring those too. Some days, you get loud talkers so I bring in my headphones.

I also love pushing the desk keyboard out of the way and finding the coffee someone spilled and decided to let air dry underneath it.

Good way for employees to stop picking up their phones and answering emails outside of office hours.

    12. Out the door by 5pm and the laptop and workphone left on the desk, if you have one 😅

How about you worry about output. Not how or where people are. Asshats.

    14. „Leadership“ that judge employees by they’re busy and at desk matrix rather than deliverables and accomplishments are going to foster an environment that breeds culture like Office Space. It’s counter-productive and ineffective. If someone needs to be available at 5pm for a meeting or customer interface and are gone that’s one thing. But to run an audit and say that people are leaving early so I’m mad and we will make them stay until the crack of the whistle is just a manager getting their priorities completely wrong.

    15. Dell is famous for its toxic culture. I’ve known dozens who worked there and none liked it.

    16. My favorite part of this is the marketing campaign they are pushing on Instagram and TikTok advertising how their products are perfect for those workers who are always on the go and „literally work anywhere but the office“. With all the comments disabled of course.

A couple large businesses in my city have done these RTO’s and we just feasted on their top talent to the point of receiving letters from their lawyers telling us to stop hiring their staff.
