Unrealistic for several reasons
Surely there are infinite „straight line“ routes you could take around the surface of a sphere.
Did you include all of the lakes that are on this route?
If you flew in a straight line from McAllen, Texas to Bangkok, you would be underground the whole way.
Since you cannot fly underground a straight line would take you into space space.
