Als ich zum ersten Mal sah, dass die Regierung Immobilienverkäufe im Ausland aktiv fördert, gefiel es mir nicht.
Es ist jedoch wirklich besorgniserregend zu sehen, dass der Premierminister dieses Narrativ nun nutzt, um Bedenken auszuräumen.
Irgendetwas, das ich nicht sehe, was mich deshalb so besorgt macht?
PS. Wenn ich zwischen den Zeilen lesen würde, würde ich verstehen, dass Malteser keine Immobilien mehr auf Malta kaufen und um die bestehende Dynamik aufrechtzuerhalten, werden neue Käufer benötigt.

You’re spot on. The construction industry is unsustainable and running on promise of sales. Low quality housing, Low wages, unsafe practices, and zero accountability. The construction industry is a get rich quick scheme for the few, promoted by the government.
Don’t forget that the Chinese are buying and renting places for the whole golden passport scheme. There are quite a few places in Malta, that are empty, but being rented out by Chinese nationals, in order to get a Maltese passport
