Wonder if this is motivated by a desire to have less trade with the US.
Also helping the 5 former Soviet republics rely on Russia less. Not that they will need to stop playing pattycakes with Putin, but that’s how goodwill is generated.
Embrace all the countries that are simply ‚moving on‘ from the age of trading with America.
