The offensive conduct happened on the US side, and is under investigation by the NYSDE.

However, I guess because this region is right on the border, then it’s possible Canadian students were subject to this unconscionable conduct. While it may have come from a well-meaning place, this is clearly not the appropriate way to handle those people with neurodivergence or special learning needs. I wonder how much of this was influenced by the US administration’s hatred and vitriol towards autism.
