      Go figure!🙄

      Snippet:

      * The Justice Department released thousands of new records on Jeffrey Epstein on Friday, but at least 550 pages in the documents are fully redacted, CBS News has found.
      * The newly released files included photos of several prominent people in Epstein’s orbit, images from his homes and investigative records that detail disturbing allegations against the late sex offender. But the heavy redactions in many of the records have drawn criticism from Democrats and some Republicans, as the department defends its handling of the files.
      * One series of three consecutive documents — totaling 255 pages — is entirely redacted, with each page covered by a black box. A fourth 119-page document labeled „Grand Jury-NY“ is also entirely redacted. It’s unclear what proceedings it stemmed from, but the document listed immediately before it is a transcript in which a prosecutor asks a grand jury in 2020 to consider evidence for a superseding indictment of Epstein’s convicted co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell.

Why is anybody surprised? Did someone actually think it was all over for Trump, and everything would go back to normal?

    3. Did anyone actually believe that this wouldn’t be the case and what is released is actually representative of what they contain?

From what I have seen Impartiality isn’t big in the US justice system and getting to the bottom of this shit-show isn’t front of mind for those in control.

    4. ChopperChange on

It’s safe to assume that every redacted line mentions Trump or one of his buddies. If all these pages mentioned „democrats“ you can be sure his administration wouldn’t have redacted it.

Interested to see how the press secretary somehow turns this on the democrats and the press.

    6. Then_Journalist_317 on

So we can assume Trump raped 500 different girls, raped 1 girl 500 times, or some combination of the foregoing.

    7. Jushara_iiskra on

Well the way I see it, Until they are released unredacted. The only logical conclusion is that „Trump is mentioned on 500 pages of the Epstein files“

I will wait to be proven wrong.

And because someone always inevitably brings up tribalism. I don’t care what political alignment they are and my own politics don’t come in to play. Offending pedophiles should be in prison full stop. Male, Female, Republican, Democrat or otherwise

    8. Sechzehn6861 on

500 pages are *real bad* for Trump or people directly connected to him. Got it.

    9. Writer_In_Residence on

      We knew they would be.

Epstein said Trump scared him and was the worst man he knew. This is a child rapist who hung out with many other child rapists. No way are we going to get to hear what happened.

    10. Deviantdefective on

Well this was to be expected so we’ve at least 500 pages referencing the obese orange peice of shit then.

    11. Jesus, promising transparency and then dumping hundreds of fully blacked-out pages is a blatant failure of leadership. This is less like protecting victims and more like protecting powerful people and completely undermines any claim that this administration is serious about accountability

    12. GreenTrees797 on

“Why is the Trump DOJ protecting Bill Clinton” should be the narrative if the want to say Bill Clinton was like the only person incriminated.

    13. OlorinRidesAgain on

Its crazy that there have been more pictures of Epstein and Trump posted on r /pics than there were in the released documents. That is how compromised the Justice Department under Bondi is.

    14. midsumernighttts on

It’s so sick how these people are able to get away with this. How many girls did they hurt?

    15. saiyanscaris on

they probably consider the victims as those that were part of epsteins scheme and redacted so many famous people, people in power, ceos, people all over the world. tech companies and so on so that they would be safe and kept in power. this was there plan all along

    16. Simply: Jail Bondi until every page is released. Every document and all source material. She is in violation of the law. Put her in jail.

    17. Donald Trump ████████████████████████████ minors.

    18. Effective_Ambition_5 on

The president of The United States of America, Donald J. Trump is in fact a child rapist.

    19. Imaginary_Chair_6958 on

We can safely assume the worst about Trump, given their delaying tactics and extreme attempts to remove all references to him despite his known close friendship with a pedophile. And you can’t say “But Trump doesn’t seem the type” because he’s exactly the type: the creepy former host of Miss Teen USA with a record of sexual assault and misogyny and weirdly sexual comments about his own daughter and young girls. His name is in the flight logs and he has multiple numbers in the contacts book. Not to mention the famous birthday book message. They’re protecting a monster.

    20. Just checking… has anyone tried just opening the file and hitting undo? There is a non-zero chance the just put a black box over the text.

    21. It’s Trump. He’s currently President. It’s him. He’s under the black ink.

    22. Amazing-Artichoke330 on

That tells you one thing. Trump appears on 500 pages of the Trump-Epstein files.

    23. Did anyone really think we would get unredacted files? In this insane administration run by sociopaths, fools and morons?

    24. Glum-Breadfruit-6421 on

Well, at least we know the pages where the pedo prez and all the other republicans can be found.

    25. DrewNumberTwo on

Why is everyone acting like a black page is a file that has been released? They have not released the files.

    26. “This is the most transparent administration in American history.” —Karoline Leavitt

    27. Donkey-Haughty on

Every person involved in redacting these files are protecting predators and should have their children taken off them for the safety of the children

    28. Ninevehenian on

FBI really provide good service when it comes to aiding pedophiles.
      Their proudest moment.

    29. warpentake_chiasmus on

What does it say about the law and the judges that they allowed this to happen?

    30. It took me twice as long to get get into the DOJ Epstein Files system (10 minutes) than to find blatant violations of the release law. In the FOIA section, there are hundreds of phone paper logs, half of which are fully DIGITALLY blacked out (although several from Alan Dershowitz are not–sorry Alan,, looks like your pathetic prostration didn’t work–surprise!).

There is no way victims were calling Epstein’s office line, and in the odd case they were, only the victim’s name would need to be redacted.

The good news is, the paper records appear to be intact, and Dems + Massie/Greene need to demand that they be handed over to Congress.

    31. Somebody has to have un-redacted copies….

These need to be released online. The citizens of multiple nations deserve to know who their tax money is protecting.

    32. sovietarmyfan on

I bet that within no time, they will declare those page a „matter of national security“ as to prevent the release of them.
