It’s good that the Liberals nipped this in the bud quickly before their polling collapsed. They’re probably not preventing a PQ win this election in either case, but they were looking like they would be in a good position to challenge them in 2030 etc. (which the scandal threatened). If the Quebec Liberals fall, it leaves the Quebec Conservatives as the main federalist party & as somebody from outside Quebec, I’m not sure if they’d be up to the task.
