Well, why should we respect him? Putin brought this war on himself.

„Baby, you know I wouldn’t hit you if you just agreed with me….“

Sure. If Russia returns the favor. That shit is earned, not simply given.

    4. He means fear – I presume in Russian it’s the same word 🤷🏻‍♂️

    5. I’m from the west!

Here ya go Putin, “I respect you.”

Now get the fuck out of Ukraine.

By „respect“ Putin means „subjugation“. You can’t have wars with Russia if you preemptively surrender to them. How’s that working out for him in Ukraine?

Respect is earned, and this murderous dictator is not worthy of respect.

Giving off real „You didn’t say please and wear a suit“ vibes here..

    9. There can never be enough respect to satisfy Russia’s raging, centuries-old national inferiority complex.

    10. The little bitch is getting desperate now that the 90 billion was agreed upon. Keep that pressure up!

    11. A common Russian troll talking point is how the Budapest Memorandum “lost validity” after the Euromaidan protests. This got me thinking: Russia seems to be the only country that needs a special treaty not to invade its neighbours – and even then, it fails to keep it.

    12. The respect they had until they lost it by starting a bunch of wars? That respect?

Hes full of it. And knows he is. When he started his reign the west was friendly and respectful. We traded with Russia. They got to organise a freaking fifa world cup and the winter olympics. Our leaders fraternised with Putin at those events, all handshakes and smiles. We bought their gas to keep Europe heated. The only thing Russia had to do to keep that respect was not invading a neighbouring country.

I mean we let them get away with war in Chechnia and Georgia. We let them get away with taking over Crimes. And we let them get away with shooting down a passenger jet.

Maybe we should have shown more respect by drawing the line sooner? Good friends let each other know when the other goes too far, right?

      It’s easy.

Start acting respectfully and we’ll treat you that way.

    15. Oh, we will treat Russia and the russian people with the respect they deserve. But that does not include the fascist warmongering regime currently controlling the country.

Pfft…yeah like that statement is worth the paper it’s written on…

    17. >“Russia–NATO co-operation grew during the 1990s and early 2000s. During this period, there were suggestions of Russia becoming a NATO member. However, relations have become hostile, largely due to Russia’s attacks on Ukraine since 2014.“

Respect my ass, Russia was literally on track to be integrated with the West and then this sack of turkey liver threw it out the window.

    18. Xpalidocious on

I promise I will always treat Russia with the very level of respect it deserves

Take from that what you will

Never look to or attempt to appease dictators. Did we not learn from Neville Chamberlain trying to negotiate with the Austrian painter over half of modern day Czech Republic?
