I see this same map premise often and honestly, this isn’t a type of map you can create with MapChart.

Like, France is listed here because the term Gaul was used but the text was referring Galatians who lived in Central Anatolia. Continuing with these, a lot of the nations coloured here just happen to have the ancient regions named in their modern day borders.

Kind of brings the bible into question really. I have atlases that mention more countries than this.

What was daily life like in the area of modern day Paris during the supposed time of Jesus

Ethiopia might well have been name-dropped, but back then the word meant sub-Saharan Africa generally, so by the logic of this map, all of sub-Saharan Africa should be coloured in.

These maps make zero sense because a lot of these countries do not have the same population group in that area anymore

It’s interesting that it was so far to the east and west, but narrower in the south and damn near not at all to the north.

Your missing one across the Atlantic

yes, perhaps my favorite is The Book of Bashir, Chapter 78, Verse 604 when the great ancient kingdom of Minnesota was given to our humble and righteous Somali brothers, even Jesus Christ considered buying a 2 bedroom rental in Twin Cities. Luckily the Somalis treated him great and now his tomb has finally been uncovered in the great city of New Moqadishu 🇸🇴

      Please no antisomalitism btw
