I always thought below 50 was the ‚danger zone‘ if it goes below 45, the problems will just get worse even faster. But the fact is at the moment, they are raising VAT massively cutting the threshold to smaller and smaller businesses to finance the war. What else can they do? There will have to be more social spending cuts, more tax raises etc. Which will drive the Russian economy even further downwards.

What Putin needs now is some shock to Chinese oil supplies, which at the moment rely heavily on Venezuela.
Wonder what Putin could do to make that happen?
