      If the hate, AI slop, and insane amount of manipulative bots won’t dissuade people from using X and TikTok, then nothing will.

      Deleted tiktok two weeks ago and Twitter yesterday, it’s a cesspool now. Hopefully blue sky will be somewhat enjoyable

      This is a best case scenario. As it gets shittier and shittier people will stop using it and touch grass. Short term suckage, long term societal benefit.

      I hope that they spin this off as a separate app, America political theater is already way too prevalent even outside of the US. It would be cool to firewall you guys like China does with their citizens.

      Do we know the details yet?

      I remember originally there was talk that TikTok was going to have to switch to an entirely new app in the US, versus the change being transparent to users.

      Reddit is the only social media I use. I have a Facebook account simply for marketplace. I miss forums man. No algorithms, no tracking, just people talking about niche subjects.
