      >Pleading for leniency, Ms Horan stressed that her client had no recollection of sending the messages, which happened over a three-minute period late at night.

      >The solicitor said Barry had been on a new anti-depression medication and had since gone back to her doctor for answers to what went wrong following the change of medication, why she did it and why she had no recollection of her actions.

For some reason I was reminded of Lipitor Man, who dragged a girl into a bush and later claimed no recollection.

Probably for the best that cases like these get stiff enough sentences, to soften the cough of anyone else thinking of doing the same in future.

Would have gotten a suspended sentence if she physically assaulted him

Ah the old „three minutes of madness“ virus has struck again. See Lucy Connelly etc.

Yet if she ran up and gave him a box in the face she’d have only got a slap on the wrist and a €50 fine.

Not saying she was in anyway correct or justified in what she did, but If she’d did it to any regular citizen or even small business owner or employee, she would’ve just got a warning or caution.

The real message here is setting an example surrounding the extra protections for political representatives and a deterrant against similar online threat to deter a certain type of social media user that comments on immigration and such.

What bugs me, is that based on the 2 text reported on the news of the ‘threats’ (they absolutely were not by what was read, ill wishes at best) all the women that have gone to the Gards over stalking and the like and been told nothing can be done until the fella ‘does something’, would have cases.

No one should be threatened, but saying ‘I hope something bad happens to you and your family’ is a threat? Sorry but no. Someone needs to go back to English classes. Because every single one of us has said bad things over the course of our lives.

I would seriously consider not appealing that sentence at the circuit court if I was her.

Feel a bit sorry for these people. I’ve been watching my brother being redpilled since covid and its upsetting no amount of talking to him is working, he is making a fool of himself in social settings, might be about to lose his family after Xmas. Meta et all have a lot to answer for.

I hope it was worth it for her. The far right keyboard warriors and rioteers need to understand that the law applies to everyone especially them. At least now she has something tangilble to winge about.

    11. And yet someone with THOUSANDS of child abuse images gets a suspended sentence?!!! What is going on?!
