I’ve been „Acting“ this way since at least 2016~
Except everyone not currently a republican has since he first went down the escalator stating „immigrants are rapists and murderers…but some are all right“. He was recorded for that Access Hollywood video in 2005. None of this is new and we can’t keep pretending it is. He at best supports pedophiles and at worst is one. If you support him, you support what he is.
There is a tangible difference between „I disagree with a politician“ and “ this personal literally makes you question basic norms of leadership“

There Is Something Deeply Wrong With America – We Must Act Like It
I don’t know what the opposition is like over there, but it feels like there is very little push back like this, apart from late night talk shows/comedians.
In the UK Trump is still a main news item & what he says is reported without fact check or criticism.
He is useful to modern news channels because they see themselves as entertainment.
Hey remember when Tim Walz ran on an extremely successful rhetoric of „these guys are weird and strange and creeps“ during his first few weeks of election-touring, and then the DNC told him to shut that down and instead go for a *“bipartisan“* look instead?
The man has a broken ego. He is deeply narcissistic and cannot permit anyone in his cabinet, advisors, predecessors or competitors to appear greater than he is. The man is a clear danger to the country and the rest of the world. Now with his declining approval ratings he is a threat to the electability of every Republican in the fall 2026 elections. Hence, we are seeing resignations and a few Republican Congressmen dare to stand against him. Trump is feeling the heat and will try to stop the election from flipping Congress because he knows if it flips he will be impeached again and probably convicted in the Senate.
Not just Donald Trump, but any lunatic who would stand behind this tyranny. It has not been socially acceptable to support Donald Trump ever since he said he wanted to ban Muslims from the country. He said that on the campaign trail in 2015 and if memory serves me correctly, it was the first major proposal he made that directly went against the first amendment and the right to religious freedom.
And deeply wrong with his enablers. He has a team of people he has told to do what ever they want.
And they are.
It’s the same thing that’s always been wrong with him. It’s just that half the country thinks it’s funny.

Trump is a deranged individual, but he isn’t the real problem.
The problem are the people who support and defend Trump. The ones who enable him. The ones who insist that the insane things that Trump does are justifiable.
In 2016, you could argue that some Trump supporters were simply naive and easily persuaded. Anyone who still supports Trump in 2025 is a reprobate. He has been caught doing too many absolutely atrocious things for any Trump supporter to make valid excuses for supporting such a horrific person.
I sincerely hope that the „Conservative Christian“ movement in America is held accountable for their devotion to this madman. Their true colors are showing, if there was any doubt before. Disgusting.
