Petty December is in full swing, and this beef between California Gov. Gavin Newsom and rapper Nicki Minaj just took it from funny to pretty disturbing. There’s a lot to process here, but for the sake of brevity, we’ll zoom in on the fact that we live in an era where rappers and politicians argue online about human rights.
On her X account, Minaj began parroting Trump’s language to describe the governor, calling him “new scum,” which, let’s be honest, is both a lazy and nonsensical burn for such a seasoned lyricist. She also repeatedly called for Newsom to give up on politics. “He thinks he’s Tom Cruise only difference is, his next mission IS impossible. He should get another leading role,” she posted last week.
And then, because this had to get more painful, the beef became about trans kids.

People who actually believe Newsom is on the side of the common people are dumb as fuck. After everything he has done in the past, people are falling for his shit because of some tweets he’s made. Proving whether its MAGA or Woke, vast majority of voters are dumb as shit.
And she’s going to lose her base cause MAGA is gonna turn in her after she turned on all her queer fans. Like I give it a month.
