    1. Our PM is a spineless coward and all we can expect from him is an endless stream of „warnings“

Hahaa! Selittely ei riitä Japanille. Kunnon painetta persuperseilyn kuriin laittamiseksi. Todella kiinnostavaa nähdä mitä seuraa.

Edit: Forgot my english in excitement: Haha! Japan isn’t buying the excuses. It’s great to see some actual consequences for this clown show. Grab your popcorn, folks, this is gonna be interesting!

Those yakuzas could stop blackmailing us. Those politicians already said they are sorry.

Not to worry. Our finance minister took swift action and said *checks notes*… that there was no „racist intent“.

    5. Uhhh… so do I understand correctly that they made the apology only on Twitter? No official phone call frol PM to PM? Basically just a tweet saying ’sorry‘?

    6. A flock of defensive persu voters insisting that ”no one outside Finland cares” here on reddit all week. Wonder if this will make them reconsider.

Probably still expecting too much of them though…

Resigning will be our only chance to salvage our relations with far east countries. Man up and do whats needed. Your actions cost us too much. You are done.

    8. One of the most racist countries in the world asks gaijins to apologize? Really?

A country where gaijin might not be accepted to places because he looks non-japanese?

A country where gaijin gets reply in english, even if he speaks perfect japanese, because gaijins don’t speak japanese?

„A significant number of apartments, and some motels, night clubs, brothels, sex parlours and public baths in Japan have put up signs stating that foreigners are not allowed, or that they must be accompanied by a Japanese person to enter.“

I’m not so sure who should apologize.. They have public and totally legal discrimination without shame, we don’t.

Orpo should have replied that after they stop discrimination against gaijins, we can discuss about the issue.

    9. While I’m embarrassed of the whole ordeal, Japan isn’t exactly one to talk about racism lmao

It would be nice to know if Japan would apologize if a Japanese MP did something like that towards Nordic people. I’d even bet nothing would become of it.
