[Japanese avoiding domestic travel as foreign tourists increase, possibly creating vicious cycle : r/japannews](https://www.reddit.com/r/japannews/comments/1posu5f/japanese_avoiding_domestic_travel_as_foreign/)
I’ll go ahead and say it so you don’t have to: What an ignorant witch.
Cool, pay us enough to travel even in Japan.
and then when foreigners enter japan they will get blamed for everything bad and attacked
Soon they will start to throw money down the drain again by issuing travel coupons like during COVID.
How can they travel if they are busy working? With all that 働いてspeak, she isn’t exactly encouraging people to take time off and travel the country.
also because with the yen this weak where are they supposed to go?
Looking forward for higher real wages for Japanese labor forces and a better PTO system for them then.
Flashbacks to the beginning of the pandemic:
GOTOTRAVEL!

Well I’m not Japanese by her standards, so I’ll take the hint and take my worthless yen to Taiwan or Korea.
Work work work…..Travel!….work work work….
„work work work!”
„Let’s get rid of work-life balance!”
„Why aren’t people traveling more?“
I’m not sure the plan for ¥500 coupons for rice is going to pay for a trip to Aomori.
I got free tickets for USJ. Low season. I got pretty excited and started looking for just shink + hotel for 2 adults and our daughter. 19万円. The joke tells itself. Even my 8 y/o daughter agreed that it was a waste of money.
With what money?
You can’t ignore domestic Japanese travel. The statistics are clear, and if Japanese travelers decided to stop traveling because of inbound tourism, it would have a major impact on the whole industry. I was struck when I heard that a billionaire I know immediately booked a trip during the period when the Chinese Communist Party was urging people not to travel to Japan. It seems this kind of behavior isn’t limited to Japanese people—other foreigners appear to act the same way.
More importantly, Chinese travel is planned to be completed entirely within their own ecosystem, and it’s designed so that an ecosystem run only by Chinese operators can keep turning—sometimes including illegality and tax evasion. In that light, the Japanese government’s stance becomes easy to understand.
Yesssssss, stay hooooooome.
Never leeeeeeeeave.
So how are they gonna fit travel into WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK?
Lololol 😂😂😂
Maybe the hungry poor people should POKEMON GO to the ryokans
