I don’t see it. Zooey was perfect in that role.
She was replaceable in that role.
She did okay, but others could have too. And her hairdo was pretty weird. Looks strange in that color with no other changes to her makeup.
Idk if it’s just me, but Katie Holmes just isn’t that good of an actress. Zooey Deschanel was great in elf though
I think she does well in the role because of her singing ability. Other than the singing, it could be any other female actress in the role. It’s not exactly a meaty role, you just have to be “the love interest”
