I can’t confirm if the woman had a miscarriage or not, but some folks on social media posts relating to this who claim to be from that community have said the woman unfortunately lost her baby. I checked local news sources to see if there were any updates or verifications. I haven’t found a follow-up yet, but I’ll keep looking. The video of the incident is really bad. They inhumanely knelt down on her and then dragged her across the asphalt. Edit: TRIGGER WARNING for those who choose to watch the video, since it’s presumably a pregnant woman being violently manhandled. Pregnancy or not, these violent actions and arrests being conducted nationwide aren’t justifiable. It’s still unconstitutional.

I saw this on Facebook and the comments were messed up. Not a shred of decency towards the woman. “Too bad shouldn’t have been here when you’re not supposed to be” was the overall attitude. Truly terrifying that people will still think like that even towards a pregnant woman.

As a mother this makes me fucking angry. Some of the comments on Facebook and conservative Reddits say it’s her fault for protesting and for resisting, but now I’m seeing that she wasn’t doing either, she was trying to drive to work, minding her own business and got pulled over. The Facebook comments were especially disgusting. I hope they are bots, and I really hope against hope that this woman didn’t miscarry.
I’m absolutely ashamed of this as an American. Politicians complain about this on social media but they are feigning, they do nothing. I’d like to see people stop being scaredy cats and DO something about this. 😡
