There’ll be a few people in there having a very bad day.

And, more likely than not, someone pointing at the last security audit going “ I fucking told you so“.

    2. The biggest waste of time and money is going to the high court for a court order to stop publication of any stolen information.

The Russians just laughed at them when they tried that with the HSE attack.

      >“To further protect individuals, the Office of the Ombudsman has taken legal steps, including securing an injunction from the High Court to restrict any publication of potentially stolen information,” the statement said.

      That is objectively hilarious.

    4. I can’t wait for this clown show of a government and civil service to have own Age Verification for porn websites. That breach will be a fun time.

All jokes aside but the entire IT system of offices like these and government departments are so far in the pockets of consultants, Microsoft, Oracle etc that all our data is scattered inside and outside of the EU with practically no controls.

I’m talking massive departments with records on all of us who have been forced to release by FOI that they haven’t even the most basic of controls on our data nor have they even thought of it.

If we get cut off from the internet by someone sniping the undersea cables see how much of the infrastructure works and how much data just vanishes.

We need a Department of Data with teeth.
