Ah yes, the classic “I thought the 10 year-old was 18” defence. Happens to us all, sure confusing a primary school child with an adult. Totally normal mix-up. Height, voice, face, behaviour… all identical, really. 🙄
If you genuinely can’t tell the difference between a child and an adult, that’s not a defence that’s a serious problem. Absolute nonsense that insults everyone’s intelligence.
Probably passed through a baker’s dozen EU countries on the way here. It’s getting to a point where if we don’t mend the international protection system, the next set of governments will end it.
Be great if any asylum seeker commits a crime here. Then when sentence is completed they are deported to their homeland or the last country they were in before coming here.
Should be interesting when this goes to court.

Arabic interpreter, probably worships a chap that married a 9 year old . probably thinks it’s normal.
Terminate him. A waste of oxygen and a waste of money if we put him in jail
