    1. ya no shit, and there are sitting members of congress who were in on it too

      > “What I want to do is this. I just want to find, uh, 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have, because we won the state.“

No fucking shit. We all heard the proof.

Fucking Merrick Garland.  One of histories biggest cowards that had the most negative effect on the country.

Well, we already heard the Georgia tapes. Don’t think Americans care or we would have demanded accountability. Instead he was reelected

    5. > Smith later abandoned the prosecutions after Trump was elected president again last year, citing long-standing Justice Department opinions barring the indictment of a sitting president.

We all know there were mountains of evidence, even counting only the one that was public, like audio recordings of Trump. Was the sole reason a traitor beyond reasonable doubt was allowed to run the country into the ground for 4 years *tradition*?!

    6. It sounds like a “no-shit Sherlock” kind of thing, but this may be more significant than it at first seems. He’s claiming they had uncovered hard evidence that would have been enough to *prove* that he tried to overturn the election. That implies they found some kind of documentation of a plan, I think, which is actually fairly remarkable. Teflon Don usually operates on mob boss rules, where his lackeys do everything and he keeps his fingerprints off of it.

It does rather prompt the question of why they then slow walked the investigation until he got fucking crowned King of America and above all accountability, though.

    7. Because he did

Christ almighty, the fact that he had an alternate group of electors to lie for him is enough proof

Trump ran for the 2nd term because he left evidence of his crime, and witnesses. His whole administration is participating in the coverup. Corruption maximus!

    9. NoBrain1506 on

You mean the video of his whole family watching on TV and cheering that democracy might come to an end on January 6 is not proof enough?!?!?

Trump might’ve been the only person in the world to not know January 6 was happening while it was going on according to his own words. It’s not like he’s important or anything.

    10. Source: Trump’s publicly available statements and actions.

Why he was not prosecuted for 3 years is one of the most consequential ineptitudes in the history of our country.

So you’re saying that Donald Trump is not only a pedophile, felon, fraudster, rapist, obese, dementia-riddled man who lies every time his lips are moving (both ends) and is also a traitor?

      I mean, that tracks.

We’ve had proof for YEARS. At some point it’s not about evidence, it’s about whether the system actually has the spine to do anything. This cycle is just rage bait at this point.

    13. Of all the things – this is the thing that I find most infuriating. He tried to do it in plain view! We all saw it!

And then in the 4 years after, you’re telling me not only are you not going to make sure he faces justice for it, you allow him to be on the fucking ballot again? And watch him bullshit his was back into office, and pardon everyone that stormed the capitol in Jan 6?

      It boggles the mind.

We already know this. We have him on a recorded phone call with governor kemp….. nothing happened

    15. chasingjulian on

If I were president the first thing I would do is appoint Jack Smith to Attorney Generals, give him ICE’s budget and tell him to hold nothing back.

    16. mr_evilweed on

The DOJ did??? Bro we ALL did… he literally had people illegally impersonate electors to fraudulently give him electoral votes.

    17. Straight-Ad6926 on

It’s a good thing we’re hearing this after the election. I’d hate for proof to accidentally inform anyone’s decision.

    18. BornInATrailer on

Obviously. Did people think Trump, with the background of lying for years about election fraud, calling state election officials to not certify or even „find votes,“ pressuring his VP not to certify… *didn’t* have a hand in creating the slate of fake electors from 7 states, sending their fraudulent documents to congress and the National Archives? That his lawyers and other lackeys, what, just decided to do that on their own without his knowledge?

You’d have to be either exceptionally stupid or exceptionally dishonest to claim that. I guess one could be both.

    19. He didn’t hide it, he literally tried to bully a governor into adding fake votes

    20. boomboomdaboomer on

Trump has racists in uniform stalking the streets of America so I have no reason to doubt Jack Smith on this.

    21. drewcandraw on

And the time to put him on trial for this was any time between 2021-23. Thanks for nothing, Merrick.

    22. RedditIsLeBoring on

If there is this much proof in 2020 then there’s absolutely going to be proof out there of him cheating in 2024. I want to see some of that. There’s no friggin way he won fairly no matter what anyone says and it’s REALLY weird that there hasn’t been a more furious push to investigate.
