This video is a master piece of stupid financial decisions:

At an individual level, all these russians thought they could make easy money by invading a sovereign country. They lost everything.

At a regional level, russians thought they could use their army to expand the russian empire. While they are making some territorial gains, their population is imploding, and their country is becoming as poor as Iran or North Korea (thank you low oil prices for that all well). Net negative result.

At a macro level, russia thought it would be once again a superpower. It is now somewhere between a pariah state and a satellite of China.

The russian invasion of Ukraine is the blunder of the century. All russians are part of this (except those that immigrated permanently to some other country (not Belarus)).
